This week we are going to start thinning the volunteer trees from the low flow channel.  A volunteer tree is considered any tree that was not intentionally planted or seeded and we have a lot of those coming up! The plan is to remove all trees within a 30-50 yard swath in the bottom of the low flow channel; we will then come back and remove additional trees between the channel and the turf edge. The plan is to have trees in the low flow but to a much lesser density than we have now.

We are also going to start mowing selected areas in the low flow channel this week. Once finished in the low flow our plan is to start mowing the native perimeters. We will mow the course in sections starting closest to the golf club and moving west across the course. We should have this completed by the week of September 18th.
